Aaron Peck

First Canadian to Win the Iditarod!

I am located in Alberta Canada.  I am 37 years old and have been mushing sled dogs since I was 13.  I have competed in the world famous 1000 mile Iditarod 4 times.  I have won the 320 mile Canadian Challenge 2 times and have won the largest stage race in the world, the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race in 2013.  I have outstanding work ethic and a way with dogs that demands admiration and attention.  I work with my dogs through positive re-enforcement and love each of them like family.  I am the owner of Elevation Dogs.  We offer our dogs to the public by giving sled dog rides and travel to schools to motivate kids by telling stories of the Iditarod Trail.  We also partner with our local ski hill to give more rides at special events and school winter carnivals.  I am respected in my community and have decided to return to Iditarod, but not just to finish, but to win!  No Canadian Team has ever won the Great Race, and I am determined to change that.  I need win-win partnerships who will commit with me for the long haul, this epic goal could take many years to accomplish.  One Mile at a time!  Thank you!  Aaron Peck at Elevation Dogs!

  1. Great Canadian Athlete

As a fellow Canadian who has been up north…this is quite the accomplishment. A wide range of obstacles are involved Aaron’s sport of choice. Keep up the hard work!
